"Not told of GP referral to Dart"

About: Devon Access and Referral Team (DART)

(as the patient),

My husband and I both received a letter today saying we were being referred to Devon Access and Referral Team.

Our GP has not discussed this with us at all. We have absolutely no idea what and why we are being referred for.

In fact we have never even heard of Dart and didn't know if it was some bogus scam operation or not! Not the best way to treat your patients I think.

Dear ‘Confused of N. Devon!’,

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback.

The letter you received will have been sent to you by your GP practice and this would usually happen following a visit to your GP. If you were to phone DART we would be able to tell you the reason for your referral, however, as security is an understandable concern for you, I would suggest contacting your GP surgery first and to find out the details of the referral.

If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact our Patient Helpdesk on 01626 883888.

Best wishes,

Susan
