What I liked
My son came into ward4 for a dressing check following an injury to his hand. It was decided by the doctors to give him a nerve block and wash the wound out. The nurse was exceptionally efficient and helpful. I saw her running more than once. Everything moved along well. We were taken to a ward, given a bed, everything was explained well. The anaesthetist came to see us, explained everything and because my son had eaten breakfast earlier, he could not give him the block until 6 hours from eating. As soon as that time had passed, the theatre staff came for my son, took him to theatre and did the procedure. I cannot thank and praise the department enough, especially one nurse on ward 4. Everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Thank you all so much for your excellent care.
"Care delivered with dignity and compassion."
