"Excellent care on Harvey ward."

What I liked

My 14 year old son was recently admitted to Harvey Ward via A&E and as a senior nurse working within the NHS I would like to comment on the excellent standard of care he received throughout his hospital admission. All staff that we encountered were helpful, polite and very professional.

Nursing and medical staff ensured that all procedures were explained to my son and that he understood what was happening to him. This was very reassuring in what was a frightening and stressful time for us both.

Once admitted to Harvey ward the nurses and all members of the team made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The ward had a lovely atmosphere and his care was of a very high standard. In times of such negative criticism of the NHS I would like to say thank you to all the staff on Harvey ward and for making our inpatient experience avery positive one.
