The sister.

The staff nurse.

The receptionist.

The Gynae registrar.

Who were all competant, and polite!

What could be improved

This story is part/two from my daughters experience or should i say disater last week, see previous comments never/ever again. This was when she had gone to A/E with a g.p. referall letter and was sent home with no diagnosis, So i arranged for a ultrascan 1 week later because she was in so much pain. Lol and behold the Doctor who was marvellous found a 8cm ovarian cyst which was suppressing other organs, she said she must be admitted straight away and go to A/E asap. Due to my daughter not being correctly diagnosed one week prior as the casualty doctor did not do his job properly there was a possibility she may loose a ovary.

Of we went to A/E again. and this time they bleeped the duty Gynae, who formally said it was a very large cyst and needed to be removed asap,

Then the doctor said there was no available beds, she was a very nice Doctor and aid surgery would be schedule for a weeks time? was sent home and two hours later telephoned to ask my daughter to get back straight away as the consultant had looked at the scan and felt it should be removed asap. Went back again waited a further 5hours for the bed, my daughter was operated on Sat morn by keyhole surgery.

My point is the Doctor the previous week did Nothing, plus she could have lost her life or the cyst could have burst or she could have lost a ovary.

I am disgusted that this is going on, this has not only caused stress to my daughter but has become costly to the N.H.S. we now are taking action about the senario i am appalled.

This is total imcompetance the previous visit he should have called the gynae team!
