What I liked
Doctors and nurses were helpful and polite.
What could be improved
Food.It is all beige,YUK. Carbohydrate with carbohydrate: pasta with chips, seriously.
.Luckily I only had to stay for a short time.BUT! The last meal of the day is at 5:30pm and breakfast is given at 8 am the next day. That is a 14 and a half hours gap, which may serve the convenience of the staff but does nothing for the recovery, the well being or the convenience of the patients. Isn't it the wrong way round? Staff before patients?
I wrote about it to the manager of the catering department,Mr Khaz on the 26th July,so far have not received a reply.
Anything else?
If I may plead to have my belongings returned to me after an operation.I have had the same problem twice,it takes over 6 hours to reunite me with my belongings and six hours only because either my son or a nurse went to retrieve them. I don't know whose job it is to bring back the bag containing all the clothes, handbag etc to the bedside, but they don't seem to be doing their job very well.
