"Excellent surgeon, clean friendly hospital"

What I liked

Came to this hospital to see a surgeon with regards to osteoarthritis in hip. The surgeon fully explained my options and I was happy to be recommended with a total hip replacement despite being under the age of 40. My GP seem to think that I was far too young for this procedure and wanted to go down the line of steriods etc. which would have been totally ineffective due to the advanced wear in my hip joint. I am self employed with a young family and needed to be back to my full fitness as soon as possible. My hip replacement carried out 26 May and I left hospital 29 May. I have nothing but praise for the surgeon who fully explained any potential risks of the operation and have recommended him to everyone I have had contact with who have orthopaedic problems. District nurses and other health staff from Barnsley Trust have been astounded by my recovery and the tiny scar I've been left with. I've also recommended Pinderfields to friends and family as I found every aspect excellent so you may find an influx of patients from the Barnsley area visiting the hospital. You have an excellent surgeon and I believe my speedy recovery was down to his expertise and advanced techniques.
