What could be improved

I visited a close relative who had just brain surgery at another hospital. The handover was poor, vital medication was missed, alternative medication was not offered although we discovered later it was available, this resulted in a series of seizures, there was little attention to infection control compared to other hospitals I have been to recently. Although a Doctor was repeatedly requested by the patient due to concern over seizures and medication mix-up no Doctor visited her in the 36 hours she was there.

Anything else?

I would not recommend this hospital, particularly the Ward I visited. Poor infection control. LIttle regard to any patient who was not fully mentally functioning. Valid patient concerns ignored. Fact that a Doctor did not appear on the ward during 36 hours despite repeated requests based on medication mix up and damaging side affects is deeply concerning.
