What I liked
All members of staff in the Endoscopy Unit were very welcoming, kind, professional and courteous
What could be improved
Nothing
Anything else?
I attended the Endoscopy Unit at the hospital today for a colonoscopy. I was very well looked after by all the members of staff on duty in the unit. They were all friendly, professional and reassuring. Every aspect of my investigation was explained to me prior to the procedure and I was able to choose what type of pain management I would prefer. The colonoscopy was performed with consideration given to my dignity and I was shown respect at all times. I was well monitored throughout to ensure any pain or discomfort I may have experienced was kept to minimum. After the procedure I was looked after in the recovery area and as before the staff were friendly and informative. Before discharge I was given a clear, detailed explanation about what was found during the procedure and also about my follow up care.
Please pass on my grateful thanks to all the nurses on duty in the Endoscopy Unit who were involved in my care today and to the Consultant who performed the procedure with so much care. I would like to thank the Endoscopy booking Clerk, who was so helpful when I booked my appointment. My experience was very positive and I have the lovely doctor, nurses and Clinic clerks to thank for that!
"A very positive experience, thank you very much!"
