"CFS Diagnosis"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

(as the patient),

I couldn't be more angry with the service I received from my previous GP. After 5 years of suffering and being told that all the pain I was going through was all in my head I was finally diagnosed with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome), but the hospital still wants to do further blood tests and exams.

To top it all off I've been told that there's nothing that can be done apart from exercise and seeing a therapist. First of all I can't do any type of activity, if I do I'm wrecked for 3 days and second I find it insulting that I have to see a therapist, the problem is not in my head, it's my body that's failing me. I'm only 26 and I have no life.

Why can't I try medications like Adderall to at least clear my thinking and give me a boost. Surely it's not rocket science-I'm exhausted and need something to boost me up instead of the offered anti-depressants that don't work.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so frustracted and I feel very alone and no-one in a position to help is listening to me.
