"Rushed through late consultation not listened to..."

What I liked

The nurses were polite.

The hospital was clean

What could be improved

My appointment was over an hour delayed with no apology, in fact one nurse told me that that was actually quite good because it is normally longer. The receptionists in all the departments I visited (3 different ones) were quite rude and were more interested in chatting with each other than seeing to people waiting.

After it taking me so long to get a referral I was looking forward to getting my problem dealt with but I was really disappointed with the way I was dealt with. The consultant didn't listen to me at all, all the information they wrote down was inaccurate from the duration of my problem to what it's related to, I've since found out they even put in my notes that I have 2 children when in actual fact I haven't had any nor have I been pregnant so who nos where that came from.

The nurse who took my bloods labelled them wrong and I had to go back two days later to have them re-done!!!

I was rushed through my late appointment and was told what procedure would be done but not why and I wasn't given any choice at all, the procedure wasn't explained to me by anyone I had to find the information out on the internet. Also I was simply given leaflets telling me what to do on the day, but no-one talked me through anything which I found quite impersonal.

I was disappointed I was moving and therefore having to go through all the procedure again but I have nothing but praise for the place I go to now, everything is explained and I'm given a choice about MY treatment
