"My uninterested and uninformed GP"

I recently discovered I was pregnant and went to my GP as I have suffered from two consecutive miscarriages in the last 12 months. When I rang the surgery to book an appointment, first of all I was asked by the receptionist why I wanted to see the GP and to explain what I thought the problem was. When I told her I was pregnant, i was asked 'Do you want to keep it?' I couldn't believe that a) I had to tell her my reason for seeing the GP (what happened to patient confidentiality?) and b) that her first question / assumption was that I was phoning for an abortion!

Upon seeing the GP, when I told her i was pregnant and again explained that I had already had two miscarriages, she carried on typing on her computer, and asked me without looking up what i was going to do about it. When I suggested that that was why I was sitting in her office as I wanted her (as my GP) opinion, she asked me what i thought i should do. She then went on to say that she didn't know what to do about it either! All of this took no less than one minute. She then said she that as neither of knew what to do, she'd send me to hospital, and wrote a letter to the EGU in pencil, stuffed it in an envelope and sent me on my way. At this stage I was showing no signs to indicate I was having anything other than a healthy pregnancy. Sadly, I miscarried again recently. This has happened three times now. I have been told that I should be referred for investigations, but no one seems capable of referring me. The nurses at the EGU are very kind, but they tell me to go to my GP, so I go to my GP who writes a letter and sends me back to EGU. And as usual, the patient is trapped in the middle. I feel let down and angry with my GP who seems incapable of helping me or offering any advice.
