The friendly approach by 2 of the nurses

What could be improved

Kept waiting 40 minutes after my appointment time, no apology given. Lack of concern by 2 of the nurses. Drops in my eye were given without me being warned that they could sting.

The consultant was pleasant but not too concerned about my being comfortable during treatment.

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear that you had to wait longer for your appointment than you anticipated. Our eye department treats routine and emergency patients and the latter can sometimes cause unexpected delays. I would have expected the staff to explain this to you and to apologise. I am sorry that they did not on this occasion.
