"Patient Transport Service"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service Victoria Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a relative),

My mother had a hospital appointment to see a doctor, I didnt know that the Patient transport sevice was available.

I live in the USA and only available to visit a few times a year. On a visit to my mother on the afternoon of the appiontment the driver came to the door and was very polite and quickly had my mother laughing and off they went.

On her return she told me that the driver took her directly to her appointment and picked her up from the clinic. As she has poor sight and not too well on her feet for long periods of time, when my mother retured she was in very good spirits and the driver even offered to make a cup of tea for my mother as she was quite thirsty.

The driver could not of do any more for my mother, she told me that she had a very smooth journey to and from the hospital and said the she could not stop laughing, My mother hates hospitals( like most of us) but said that the driver made the day , She told me that she never really got to thank the driver and that the driver refused to take a gift from my mother. Can you tell me how I can send a thank you card to the driver, all I know is the driver is local to Kirkcaldy and drives a silver Honda car with the Scottish Ambulance Service logo on it, she thinks his name is Ray but not too sure, can you help us to thank this wonderful person

Thank you for your feedback, Jess13. I'm delighted to hear about your mother's positive experience.

I have passed your feedback to the division which covers the Kircaldy area, in the hope of tracking down the driver you describe. If I am able to find out more, I will certainly let you know where to send a card.
