Always come to guernsey House and always having to wait long periods of time just to see the doctor, almost an hour today and I got kids with me, I don't want to be here all the time, especially, I believe, when I didn't need to come in because a doctor made a mistake with my scripts.

Poor collection of children's toys don't work very well, need to keep them busy while waiting for the doctor.

Doctors and staff should stick to the patient appointments as this results in long waiting times, this needs to be reduced dramatically.

Thanks for taking the time to post about Guernsey House. It sounds like you have had some bad experiences of long waiting times and this is not the type of service we want to provide.

We endeavour to stick to patient's appointment times, but as you will understand, some times some clients attend late for their appointments and at other times clients' consultations go on for longer than planned because there are very important changes in their health and treatment that need to be dealt with immediately.

We have made some changes recently that aim to improve waiting times, we have added four doctor's clinics over the week and have increased the number of appointments available with nurse prescribers.

One thing you can do, if practical, is to book one of the first appointments of the session, then it's less likely that any delays will have built up.

Sorry you have not been impressed with our toy collection. We make every effort to offer activities to interest children and their parents whilst they wait. Our staff very kindly donate books and toys when they can and these are available for use alongside the TV, magazines and extensive collection of leaflets.
