"totally disgusting and let down at every turn"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

What I liked

I like =nothing because due to the fact i am still left here waiting for anything to be done, i first saw a "consultant" in March 2011, and was left in tears, i do not think a single word of how i felt or what i go through on a daily basis was ever bought into the equation, another "consultant" made the desision on what procedure i was to have with out even stepping foot into the room i was in, he read it in my folder from the first persons notes that she had taken and made his mind up there and then!, All i heard was "funding this and funding that", i dont care about funding, i am the one living in pain everyday, its my body my lifestyle (or what i have left of it) was not taken into consideration, i was informed that i shall be able to go on holiday in August still as the procedures will be done way b4 then, nope, got a letter telling me June 23rd, went to see anaesthetist on 22nd, operation cancelled due to palputations (which they knew about in march), had tests done, got all clear for surgery, and nothing, a month later nothing, phoned gyne waiting list department all i get is answer phone, so sat here in pain still, thanks QE2. oh and holiday cancelled so thanks again.

What could be improved

Everythiing

communication between patients and consultants

see the patient before you decided, life is not written on a piece of paper, go and see them talk to them listen to them.

Communication

communication
