" we are not seeking any compensation, just answers"

About: Castle Hill Hospital Hull Royal Infirmary

(as a relative),

My father in law was admitted onto ward 8 at Hull Royal Infirmary, well what can I say about his care but it was appalling, he was moved to a side room and it seemed like he was just left there. When he shouted for help he was told to shut up and stop annoying people. This man was in his eighties, has paid into NHS all his life, brought up 9 children and worked hard. His water and bell were often out of reach, then to finish it off he was sent home with pneumonia.

Within 48 hrs he was rushed back in, he was later taken to ward 18 at castle hill, we couldn’t fault the care he received on this ward, but sadly he passed away 10 days later. In my opinion, ward 8 would learn a lot by visiting ward 18 at castle hill and see the care patients get there. I take my hat of to them.

We have complained to pals but we are still waiting for a meeting. I feel like no one seems to care at all about the questions we need answers to, I will contact pals again and see what they have to say, but once again I don’t expect to get anywhere with them. All we want is answers; we are not seeking any compensation, just answers
