What I liked
Brilliant nursing staff, Caring support staff, super clean ward, good food, relaxing environment.
It was the little things that made my stay so nice, ie all staff using my name - trying to make me as comfortable as possible, nothing was too much trouble.
It was was also nice to see the lengths that the staff went to with some of the other patients, even though those patients didn't always seem to appreciate how much effort was being put into their care.
The food was good and there was mountains of it.
Ward and facilities were exceptionally clean and the cleaners worked incredibly hard to maintain this standard.
What could be improved
Was referred for admission by my GP - took a little time for triage nurse to find out where I should be. This seemed to be a fault in general hospital communications rather than her fault.
Have found this problem before when I was transferred from Salford to Wigan Orthopedic with a broken arm.
Would have been nice to have access to a hairdryer - but the wards were nice and warm so your hair wasn't wet for long.
Anything else?
My gripes above are really quite minor, after returning home to a house that my Husband had managed to turn into a pigsty I would love to return!
"Professional, caring, clean and relaxed."
