What I liked

On 8 July I was an emergency admission at 10-00pm to A and E, and then moved to Medical Admissions Unit (Fairfax Ward). I wish it to be known that I was given excellent and exemplary treatment by all the teams, also including the CT scan team.

Because of my London involvement with the Royal College of Surgeons, where, amongst other things I chair the Dental Quality Control Panel, as well as being on the Council of the Royal College of Radiologists, I am only too well aware that we and the media hear too much about very negative complaints. As a consequence it is, indeed, a pleasure to be able to compliment the Warwick Hospital Chief Executive and his team for a first-class service.

It is always invidious to single out any one individual, but the consultant in A and E , the consultant who saw me in the MAU in the early hours of Saturday morning, both provided sensitive and expeditious treatment. The nurses were sensitive to my wife's anxieties and she was allowed to stay by my bedside for as long as she wished, which was most of Friday night and all day Saturday.They even offered for her to sleep in the chair alongside me during Friday night.
