About: Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I have had 2 babies at Tameside (Nov. 06 and January 2011) and would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who work in the maternity department.

At a time when women are feeling at their most vulnerable and need support, the maternity staff are superb.

Both my births were traumatic (one was shoulder dystocia, the other a c-section) but the care i received was fantastic from auxillary staff to consultants. I really cannot praise it highly enough.

Thank you very much for these kind comments about the quality of maternity care at Tameside Hospital. I am sorry that both of your births were traumatic, but pleased that our staff were able to support you in what were undoubtedly difficult times for you.
