What I liked
The doctor that treated me on the ward was very sympathatic, understanding & patient & treated me as an individual.
the ward was clean
What could be improved
nurising staff communication was appalling to the extent of making several mistakes with medications. They did not treat me with any diginity or respect.
I was sterotyped because i had a mental illness.
Not one nurse explained my care plan to me, they was rude, didnt explain what they was doing at any time (when treating me), if they did speak they didnt look at me face to face and only use the minimum words necessary to get the message across to me
They certainly lacked empathy and serious lack of understanding into mental illness.
Anything else?
i was admitted from a dermatology outpatient appt. everyone in the outpatients were fantastic, very caring & professional, sadly the ward (m3) that i was admitted to was well below standards
i had no other choice I discharged myself the following day.
