About: North Devon District Hospital

What I liked

The audiologists were professional and helpful.

What could be improved

The attitude of the consultant seemed to be dismissive and patronising. We were made to feel unimportant and as if we were a waste of the consultant's time. I resent immensely anyone ( let alone someone who is being paid a great deal of money to help me) answering what seemed like personal phone calls during a consultation. This happened twice during a very short consultation. However baseless the consultant may feel our concerns about our son's health and development are, we deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy. We do not feel that this was the case nor are we particularly reassured.

We are really sorry your experience of our audiology service did not meet expectations.

We would really like to investigate further, which we can do if we have your name and/or date and time of your appointment.

Please do help us improve our services in future by calling our Patient Advice and Liaison service on 01271 314 090 or email contactus@ndevon.swest.nhs.uk

Many thanks
