"Horrible and painful"

About: Northwick Park Hospital

What I liked

Treatment after being admitted was fine

What could be improved

A&E staff and the staff in the observation unit are rude and in desperate need of communication skills training. They were rude and at times gave you explanation that make you question their fitness to parctice. Waited for 2 hours before somebody even did observations and decided it was that my condition was major and requires urgent treatment.

Anything else?

I had a relatively simple condition which if treated in time could have saved NHS money. I presented 2 times. On first occassion I had temp of 39 and could barely sit. the registrar in A&E implied that I was dramatising and together the staff literally pushed me out. I went back a day later in a worse state with persistent temp and low BP in sepsis. I wonder how the registrar did not even give me benefit of doubt with persistent unexplained source of temp and had the courage to discharge me!
