"Ashley House is a good thing"

The point you make about about services is correct in that our base is Ashley House and that is in Widnes and when we have asked service users for their opinions of treatment services in the past we have had responses such as yours.We are responsible for providing Substance Misuse/Alcohol Treatment to all the residents of Halton and we have taken note of what people have said to us so as well as havingour base in Widnes we do try to ensure that we engage with those people who do not live in Widnes.These are such things as us holding clinics and groups in Runcorn (Brooker Centre, St Pauls Health Centre, Castlefields Health Centre, Hallwood Health Centre, Pastoral Centre, Probation, Public Old Court, Brookvale Childrens Centre). We also have our outreach service and often see people in their own homes. We will be continuing to ensure that we offer interventions throughout the Borough and try to make engagment as easy as possible, for example we do have pharmacy involvement in Runcorn but our commissioner is trying to get ian ncrease in those who offer this help.
