What could be improved

Visited my GP at 15:30 due to serious pain in my foot. He referred me to Amersham Hospital for an X-Ray. Which they did after a relatively short wait. They confirmed a fractured bone in my foot and advised me to go to an A&E either Wycombe or Stoke. Decided on Wycombe. Arrived there at about 16:45 - impressed so far! Advised the receptionist at Wycombe that I'd been referred due to a fracture in my foot. Already feeling fairly stressed with the pain and diagnosis. At about 18:40, about 2 hours after arrival and after noticing patients who had arrived after me being called for treatment, asked the receptionist when I might be called for consultation. She said there were 3 departments who were busy. I asked if the broken bone in my foot was a low priority and what waiting time I could expect. She asked for my details again and said someone had called my name at 18:03. My wife and I did not hear my name being called. I was advised a note had been made "did not wait for doctor". I asked again how much longer I could expect to wait. I was advised I would be called. No indication was given - "could only get the take or leave it attitude". Feeling even more stressed and starting to feel angry from the total lack of empathy, decided to leave to avoid the situation escalating. Back at home still in pain waiting for the paracetamol to take effect, feeling incredibly disappointed, stressed and will try Stoke A&E tomorrow.
