"Patient leaflets"

The waste/duplication/inefficiency I want to tell you about is:

production of the mass leaflets. I think people need 1 leaflet with the sign posts to the right people who can give them the right support.

There are different leaflets out now. Everyone wants the same thing but all working alone to produce 1 leaflet each instead of working together.

I support the organisation in making sure that the voice of patients and the public is heard and used in planning services. This involves running events, managing surveys, and building networks with the local community.

This comment was posted from our Stakeholder event in June. We are asking for help in identifying waste and inefficiencies within health services, as we want to make provide the best value we can for public money.

A full report of the event has been sent to attendees and NHS Rotherham Board. Details of specific actions and issues have also been passed to commissioning staff for action.

Specific Issues Raised Above

You are right, there are many leaflets produced by many different organisations. This does mean that it can be hard for people to get to the information they need. In NHS Rotherham we are currently working through all the leaflets and information we have, prioritising the most useful. We also need to think about this as more and more information is available electronically.
