"long wait at GP surgery"

The waste/duplication/inefficiency I want to tell you about is:

Long waits in GP surgery - sometimes to see the practice nurse. Even though there is an appointment system in place.

Length of time waiting for an appointment. I have requested an appointment on the Friday and got one for the following Wednesday.

I support the organisation in making sure that the voice of patients and the public is heard and used in planning services. This involves running events, managing surveys, and building networks with the local community.

This comment was posted from our Stakeholder event in June. We are asking for help in identifying waste and inefficiencies within health services, as we want to make provide the best value we can for public money.

A full report of the event has been sent to attendees and NHS Rotherham Board. Details of specific actions and issues have also been passed to commissioning staff for action.

I agree that it is very frustrating to wait for appointments.

If people let us know about the specific service, where this is an issue, we can raise this with the service or practice concerned.
