The waste/duplication/inefficiency I want to tell you about is:

People (women) not telling health professionals what the real issues are - fear/time to explore etc. Don't want to waste 'their' time.

Our service users tell us this.

I support the organisation in making sure that the voice of patients and the public is heard and used in planning services. This involves running events, managing surveys, and building networks with the local community.

This comment was posted from our Stakeholder event in June. We are asking for help in identifying waste and inefficiencies within health services, as we want to make provide the best value we can for public money.

A full report of the event has been sent to attendees and NHS Rotherham Board. Details of specific actions and issues have also been passed to commissioning staff for action.

Specific Issues Raised Above

Its important that patients feel that they can tell their health professional what the real issues are.

If there are concerns from your service users about specific services, we can take this up, so its important that people let us know if they feel that a service or an individual is not listenting to them.

Perhaps people could be encouraged to raise these issues with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service? We also may be able to arrange for someone to come and discuss this with the service users.
