I was called for first mammogram about 6 wks after 50th birthday.
Two weeks later, I received an appointment for further tests at the breast assessment clinic, Central Outpatients Dept, North Staff Uni Hosp.
The letter included full information about why I needed further tests and what to expect and how long it may take.
I arrived at the appointed time and throughout the process, the staff were courteous and informative, doing their best to ease my anxieties by clearly explaining what was happening and why. I was given an appointment for the following week to receive the results of the biopsy, which I'm glad to say showed a benign lump.
I was treated promptly at all times and found all the personnel involved very friendly and reassuring.
"Friendly and reassuring breast assessment"
