"Soooooo slooooooowwwww"

About: Trafford General Hospital

What I liked

Porters and kitchen/food staff were excellent and friendly.

What could be improved

Not being misdiagnosed twice and forgotten about thrice!

Anything else?

Waiting 11 hours to have a cast placed! Still waiting as I type this, could be 24 hours the way it's going!

Response from Trafford General Hospital

We are glad that you found the porters and kitchen/food staff to be excellent and friendly, as this is the standard we would expect from all of our staff to make our patient’s experience in the hospital as pleasant as it can be.

In regard to your comments about what we can improve - We are surprised to read that you waited over 11 hours to have a cast placed, as an adequate service is available within the hospital.

Our plaster clinic is open 5 days, and if needed over weekend or out of hours, doctors have the facility to plaster, so it is most unusual to wait for the amount of time you mention.

However, in regard to this, and to your comment about being misdiagnosed and forgotten about: listening to the needs and concerns of our patients is an important factor in our continuing commitment to improving the services which we provide.

We would like to offer you the opportunity to speak with our Customer Relations/Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team, who will be more than happy to individually investigate your experience.

If you would like to accept this offer, please contact the team on 0161 746 2019 / 2201 or email pals@trafford.nhs.uk, or you can write to the hospital address.
