"waiting a long time for a bed for my..."

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

What I liked

nothing

What could be improved

on my wifes form it stated give the hospital a phone call if not attending, on arrival after3 and a half hrs travelling was told there was no bed available and why had we not rang that morning to see, it did not state this on the form, surely if you knew there where no beds available and my wife had not rang in wouldnt a phone call to us been advisable.

my wife followed all the forms requirements requested ringing on the monday to say she would be attending

Anything else?

we are diabetics so on arrival at admissions we asked where we could go for something to eat and was directed to a restaurant where told we could get hot meal, sandwiches where available as they didnt cook hot food till 5pm!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry to hear that you and your wife have had problems whilst visiting UHSM. I will make sure that the relevant managers of the department are made aware of your comments and concerns.
