"Staff Shortages"

About: Tameside General Hospital

(as the patient),

I came to Tameside Hospital in February with spinal injuries. The care I received at the beginning was good, but recently care has declined which I feel is due to staff shortages.

We need more carers instead of less and less cuts to funding.

Thank you for these comments. We have not cut staff on the wards, but it is true that we are going through a very busy period at the moment, of the type that is more typical of winter.

I hope you are feeling much better now

Best wishes

Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact Philip Dylak, Director of Nursing at philip.dylak@tgh.nhs.uk
