About: Horton General Hospital

What I liked

My mother had been on a waiting list in another Oxford Hospital for a few months waiting for a hernia repair and then transfered to the Horton to have the surgery performed as a day case.We were contacted by a very helpfull waiting list officer who said that we would be seen in pre-op assessment in the following week and hopefully surgery would be performed within the next few weeks,if additional operating lists could be agreed by the surgeon involved . A week later my mother was in surgery and stayed overnight on the general surgical ward, purely due to her age and concern for recovery from the anaesthetic .She was made to feel welcome and extremely well cared for throughtout her short stay, by all concerned.

What could be improved

Nothing

Anything else?

My mother recovered quickly and is now telling all her friends in Kidlington to opt for the Horton.Well done all concerned you were wonderfull
