"First class attention"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was given a appointment at the day surgery at 1pm and had meetings with a nurse to explain what was going to happen, the anethesatist and then the surgeon all explaining the procedure and any questions I wanted to ask prior to my op. I had my operation and I was given first class attention and recovery and sent on my way home with a follow up in 8 weeks. Great service and far better than I had at a Midlands hospital 4 years ago.

I appreciate that day surgery is for minor operations and is run on a production line service but it was good and I felt I was given personal service plus 48 hours later I had a phone call from the staff nurse to ask how I was doing and how the staff had performed.
