What I liked

When I first arrived there with chest pains they saw me very quickly and gave me ECG and BP check and I thought it would quick in and out.

What could be improved

When I arrived with chest pains I just sat on the bed. They did my blood tests and I had to wait 4 hours in the actual A and E where the patients are taken on beds. Then a doctor told me to wait in a room and he gave me some information, he said there was nothing for me to worry about and for me to wait there. I waited, and waited, then I came out and the doctor was at the computer entering stuff. I said, I have been waiting for you to return as my husband is sitting outside. He said he thought I was waiting outside also. He didn't have a clue. Then another doctor came on shift and I thought since the other doctor said I was fine I was about to leave, she was concerned and said I could not leave until my results came back, in case I had a minor heart attack, yet the other doctor said I had nothing to worry about. Then they lost my blood test results in the blood test department and could not find it, and the doctor had to take my blood again and check it all herself as she said they cant be relied upon to check it obviously. There was a lady in next bed crying all the time and being ignored by staff.

Anything else?

The A and E part where the patients lay on the bed is a shambles, this needs to be improved greatly, more staff interaction with patients and not leaving patients for ages to just get on with it. The area could also do with being larger as there was not much room where we sat when they brought in more emergency patients. Lack of information and results going lost from one department to another while patients rely on this for their own peace of mind.
