What I liked
Well, where do I start?! From the first moment of pre-op assessment to being (finally!) kicked out without crutches every member of staff appeared to be there purely for my benefit. Reception and paper-handling was fast efficient and accurate and there was minimal waiting between jobs. Where was a delay it was explained immediately.
On-ward: clinically exemplary: caringly first class: nutrtitionally way above avrerage and environmentally more than adequate. Ward staff excellent especially a nurse who happened to be on night duty and was like a four star concierge. Especial praise should go to the porters who apart from their friendly approach to patients and visitors alike, operated a daily on request newspaper delivery service. Jolly well done, thankyou.
What could be improved
A very small point - when visits co-incide with tea and coffee service a second cup for the nearest and dearest would be much appreciated.
And... this is my only moan - the TV/comms/bedside lighting system didn't work and I was told it had been that way for some time.
Anything else?
Keep it up - thankyou.
"If I had to repeat the exercise it would..."
