My mother was a patient at TGH for two days (7th-9th June) suffering from chest pain and pain sustained after a fall. She is 89 years old and has had 3 previous visits to hospital this year due to chest infections and UII's.

The worst bits? Time spent in A&E and then waiting to see a doctor.

The best bits? The care and consideration she received from all the staff and also their friendlieness and sympathy.

Changes? Waiting times if possible though I know everyone does their best.

I am sorry to hear your mother needed a period in hospital following a fall. The waits can sometimes be ling in A&E, though overall out waiting times compare well with national targets.

I will pass on your comments to the staff in A&E.

I am very pleased the staff at Tameside Hospital were so friendly and sympathetic – that is what I would hope and expect for you and your family.
