What I liked
I was unfortunate to suffer a fall whilst in the Disabled toilet, after an outpatient appointment, and ended up in A&E, for several hours, as a result.
I cannot thank the staff enough for their sympathetic, caring and competent care - from the Nurse who thought nothing of kneeling beside me on the floor, holding my hand, until a spinal board could be fetched, right through to the Doctors and Nurses in the A&E Dept itself, who provided comfort and communication throughout, along with very thorough examinations, conducted with utmost dignity, as well as fetching necessary food, drink and medication, as required, to, quite literally, get me back on my feet.
Thanks, too, to the cheerful Radiologists, who also treated me with great respect, and the physio's, who completed an assessment, prior to my being discharged, with the appropriate equipment.
I have had many 'negative' experiences of the County Hospital, but this was so different - and I am really grateful to all concerned.
What could be improved
On this occasion - nothing!
Everyone concerned did their job to the very best of their abilities - with understanding and compassion too - which, in the past, I have found sadly lacking.
Anything else?
Keep up the good work!
It was how it should be - which was great to experience when the day had already been traumatic enough!
"Congratulations to the A&E Team on duty..."
