"C.diff at Royal Gwent Hospital"

My sister aged 50 went into the Royal Gwent Hospital about 4 weeks ago as a varicose vein in her stomach was bleeding due to her having liver damage from a while ago.

She had the op to sort it and the op was a sucess. She started to recover then became ill and family was told she had contracted C. diff.

Now after her op, before she got c diff, the ward she was put on had notices up saying that there was an infection on that ward - so why did they put her on that ward after her op?

Also the ward was not clean, toilets were terrible.

Last week my sister was moved into HDU and went downhill very quickly until the doctor said there was nothing more they could do for her. She died two days ago.

I think someone should be held accountable.
