"Treated with great kindness"

About: Tameside General Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I came to hospital with a suspected heart attack only to be told I had very bad anaemia which was so bad it had to be treated first.

I have had the utmost care on all fronts and cannot fault staff, eg nurses and doctors, for their constant attendance and care. I am grateful, for they discovered things wrong with me that I didn’t know, and were making me ill.

I have been treated with great kindness at all times.

I am sorry to hear you have been so ill, but pleased to see that you were so well cared for by the staff at Tameside Hospital.

Now they have got the bottom of what was wrong with you, I hope you are feeling much better

Many thanks

Philip Dylak

Director of Nursing

Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact Philip Dylak, Director of Nursing at philip.dylak@tgh.nhs.uk
