What I liked

This may be a long list - I was very impressed! I was booked in at the end of May to have my son induced. I was slightly scared as he is my first child, but I couldn't have been treated better on Bolney ward or the labour ward. The midwifes were fantastic, and I really appreciated the way they interacted with my husband and I - very professional but with a great sense of humour too. Everyone was very reassuring and happy to deal with me in my more irrational moments during the birth, despite the fact I'm not sure i made sense at times! I'd particularly like to thank two members of staff who were the midwifes who were with me during labour and delivery and who were amazing. My husband also felt fully involved with what was going on, and everyone was happy to explain to him what was happening and how he could help. I also really appreciated the help given with breast feeding - it took a while for myson and I to work out what we were doing, and it felt as if nothing was too much trouble. The infant feeding room on Bolney ward is such an amazing idea and really helped me to feel a bit more relaxed about learning to feed Isaac. Despite the fact I was in hospital during a very busy period, I felt in very safe hands, and felt very reassured despite obviously being somewhat scared and uncomfortable. I would very happily reccomend this hospital.
