What I liked
I appreciated the little details of thoughtful nursing care provided by the ward staff; comfort and respect were important, as well - of course - as good medical care. It was nice that my medications were all dispensed well before the time of my discharge. Admin procedures all went smoothly.
What could be improved
On a previous visit, I was introduced by the surgeon to all members of the team in the operating theatre; this was reassuring. It didn't happen this time. I hardly met the (principal) surgeon, and so had no reason to feel confidence in him. I would have liked the surgeon's registrar to have spent a further 60 seconds with me post-op to explain more precisely the procedures and their likely consequences.
