"Ward 11 very good ward 9 disgraceful"

What I liked

My mother was admitted via A & E to ward 11, on this ward after serveral conversations with members of staff her care was very good. She was then moved to ward 9 where she has gone down hill, had to complain to PALs and had meeting with staff nurse and consultant where we had to state how we wanted them to handle her care, as no one had consulted ward 11, on several occasions we were told different stories by the staff on ward 9. Be very concerned if you have an elderly patient on ward 9 and ensure that you keep on top of their care. We even had to ring at 9pm to say that they needed to call a doctor, if one was not called we would actually come to hospital and demand a doctor.
