"The entire A&E staff were caring,..."

About: Lister Hospital

What I liked

The A&E staff were very helpful and compassionate when treating my husband's injury. While there was not a lot that could be done medically to help in his particular situation, the physicians, nursing staff, radiology staff, EMT, and support staff all clearly tried their very best to make him more comfortable. All-in-all, we were very pleased with their efforts and kind words. We are now hoping that nature does its job and heals his wounds quickly!

What could be improved

Don't know if it was us not paying enough attention or if some staff failed to introduce themselves (especially the first treating nurse we encountered). We did not know who to ask for for assistance after she had given a medication and then disappeared for more than half an hour, which made us a little uneasy. Eventually this got sorted out. I'd simply suggest pausing a moment to ensure they introduce themselves clearly giving a name and their title before jumping in and treating.

Your feedback on the care and support provided to you and your husband during your recent visit to the Lister's emergency department will no doubt be ready with a great deal of professional provide by the clinical team involved. We're also sure that they will note, however, the importance of always introducing themselves! Thanks again for your letting us know about your experience and we wish your husband a speedy and complete recovery.
