I have been to the pregnancy clinic at Guernsey House twice now and I have been able to keep my old doctor which I think is really good.

I have found the service here brilliant and each time I have attended I have been seen on time.

My only suggestion is that instead of having to bringing the documents I need to claim my travel fare back every time I attend the clinic, it would be great if they could photocopy it every 3 months like they do at Fitzwilliams. I find it really helpful to be able to claim back this money as I have another son at home and this would make this process easier for me.

It's great to hear that we are getting some things right and that you have found the service 'brilliant'.

We want to assist you to claim back your transport costs as you are entitled to, but unfortunately we cannot keep clients' proof of benefit letters on file as we have nearly a thousand clients in treatment with us. That said, we welcome your feedback and where we can, we will act on the ideas our service users give. We regularly review our policy on reimbursing travel expenses and in April this led to a change in how we reimburse people for their car journeys.

For people using public transport (bus, tram, train or taxi), we ask that you bring a proof of benefit letter and proof of journey (ticket or receipt) to each appointment and we will be pleased to reimburse you. You will need to bring a new letter every three months and the receptionists will remind you when your letter is nearing it's end date.
