I attended A&E with ?wrist fracture.

The triage nurse was rude and treated us like dirt. She may get people being horrible to her a lot in her area of work but we treated her with nothing but respect and politenes, of which we got none back.

We were seen by an ENP who was warm, respectful, professional and treated me like an individual. He xeplained what he thought may be wrong and told me what would happen next.

Unfortunately the ENP was going off shift so my care was handed over to another ENP.

He put a splint on my wrist and told me I needed to come back to fracture clinic to see the consultant. Unfortunately he forgot to give me any information, and I didn't think to ask. So next day I realised I didn't know what I should / nt be doing so I had to ring A&E to find out. I also had to attend A&E as something happened to my hand and I was worried. The nurses and Dr were great at this visit, but I feel this visit may not have been necessary if I had been properly informed. This may have been partly my fault as I didn't ask any questions at my first visit.

When I came to fracture clinic the consultant was polite, knowledgable but clearly exteremly busy so I felt a little rushed, but there was a sign in the waiting room which said only one Dr was in clinc so I understood why this was. She reassured me there was no break and explained why I had been treated with the splint, and how to wean off from wearing it, and I made sure I asked questions so that I felt I had all the information I needed.
