Late 1970's I was found to have a heart murmer. I was refered to hospital by my GP. The Cardiology dept. monitored my condition until January this year when I underwent open heart surgery to replace the aeortic valve, I was discharged from cardiac rehab. in mid May.
During all this time I found the staff from surgeons to ward assistants to be second to none. I am for ever grateful to the NHS and in particular North Staffs university hospital for the exceptional care and skill I received.
