What I liked

I was admitted to the alexandra for a de-rotational femoral osteotomy i thought my orthopaedic consultant surgeon was very professional and both him and the aneathetist came to visit me and explain the procedure once again before my operation my surgeon also came to visit me almost everyday after the operation ( i was in the alexandra for 10days) i was in theatre for alost 8 hours then straight after the operation i was taken to intensive care where i received fantastic care. the nursing staff all worked well as a team and made sure i was well taken care of and my pain was under control, well all the nurses apart from one who we are currently taking a formal complaint out on this was the fourth but soon to be fifth time i have been admitted to the alex and i have never been dissapointed yet.... touch wood!

What could be improved

Reception staff need to be more friendly they don't really put you at ease atall especially if your like me and are going in fort a major operation.
