"I’ve seen them achieve what I would call miracles"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Come in Christmas Eve very frightened after breaking my femur – my left leg. Staff soon made me comfy and since then I can’t fault any one who has been on this ward, friendly helpful – and caring – I’ve seen them achieve what I would call miracles.

Thanks to this hospital and staff, I’m now on the next move to going home, I’m going to Shire Hill and then home all being well.

Thanks for posting these comments. You’ve clearly been in hospital for some time so you must be pleased to be on the move at last.

I am so pleased you have been happy with the care you have received at Tameside Hospital and I will certainly pass on your comments to the staff concerned.

With every best wish for your move to Shire Hill Hospital

Philip Dylak

Director of Nursing

Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact Philip Dylak, Director of Nursing at philip.dylak@tgh.nhs.uk
