Do not take to heart all the bad reviews red on...Having read the reviews on this site I implore anyone going into Cheltenham hospital to ignore any bad reviews as they really terrified me after reading them a week before my op! be totally open minded as I was last month. Just remember most people who are happy don't usually write a review its only the ones that complain! I was extremely nervous having anticipated gall bladder surgery for months. My pre assessment was very helpful and everything was explained in detail about my forthcoming operation and lots of tests and reassurance from the staff which put my mind at ease. The day of my operation I cannot praise the staff on Fairview day surgery unit enough. They were efficient and understanding and we were told of the approx time each of the 3 patients would be going into theatre. The doctor, anaesthetist, staff nurse and other nurses were really brilliant and I would like to Thank them all very much. I feel after being one of those that are really anxious and nervous about hospitals I have come away reassured how well looked after you are.
