I want to praise the care given by all medical staff at East CMHT in Newcastle.

Dr Gavin in particular is a fantastic consultant psychiatrist - uniquely so in my experience of many...

I visited last week, feeling more down, anxious and suffering from sleep deprivation than usual. As usual, he discussed the options WITH me and I felt like we made a decision together. He also discussed my concerns about my weight and the balance between benefits and side-effects of my medication. He always recaps details of my case and I know he will keep on top of this aspect too

He's also a lovely friendly man!

Thank you for your positive comments about the medical staff at East CMHT in Newcastle and in particular in relation to Dr Gavin. I will ensure these comments are passed on to all concerned. I am particularly encouraged to hear how you are involved in the decision making process and I am sure this approach will continue to prove to be beneficial in your discussions with staff working in East CMHT.
